You ever notice how the POV character in Nena's song "99 Red Balloons" never takes responsibility for destroying the world?
Think about it. It all starts with her and her boyfriend buying some balloons and releasing them into heavily-monitored German airspace. A few major systems and procedural malfunctions later, the world is toast.
Then, at the end of the song, standing in the rubble, the singer digs up a miraculously undamaged red balloon. What does she do with it? She lets it go to fly up into the air. She learned nothing! She fails to comprehend the consequences of her actions, the world-murderer. Worse, she willingly does it again!
The woman's psychotic, and should be kept away from helium at all costs. Or any lighter-than-air gas, just to be on the safe side.
