Welcome to Spathic.com, our first weblog design using the blogging software pMachine.
pMachine is very interesting. It uses a combination of static templates, php includes and a mysql database to build pages on the fly, taking up quite a bit less room on your server than software that builds a permanent page for archive links. (Not that we're knocking MT, we're just saying.) The install and set-up was quick and easy and the interface is comprehensive and intuitive. A total noob might have some trouble figuring out which include affects which bit on his site, but the documentation is well written and easy to search.
Bottom line - an exceptional addition to the array of available blog tools. And hey, a little competition makes everyone stronger.
HUGE, enormous congratulations go out to the enormously talented Robyn, who has just completed the first third of her new project...her pregnancy!
Robyn is the other half of Sekimori Design, and designer of such beauties as Sand in the Gears, Sofia Sideshow and Hot Liberty. Please join me in sending her the very best wishes and luck for a happy, healthy baby. You go girl!
Launched the redesign of Anne Zook's Peevish blog. She's just saying...
New design launched at danieldrezner.com on August 5th.
Who's next?
PowerGen is a large company in England that sells electricity. They formed a division in Italy and went for the obvious company name and domain name: www.powergenitalia.com
Bet they get email the likes of which they've never dreamed...
